Group Therapy

Connect. Participate. Grow

Our occupational therapy groups provide supportive, interest-based opportunities for children and youth to build skills alongside peers.

Groups are designed around meaningful activities and shared interests, creating natural opportunities to practice social participation, self-regulation, executive functioning, problem-solving, self-advocacy, and confidence.

At Whispering Woods Therapy, we take a neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based approach. Rather than teaching one “right” way to interact, our groups focus on helping participants better understand themselves, communicate their needs, connect authentically with others, and develop strategies that support participation in everyday life.

Group programs are offered throughout the year and may vary by age, interests, goals, and format.

Connect. Participate. Grow.

Why Group Occupational Therapy?

Group therapy provides something individual therapy can't always recreate: the opportunity to practice skills alongside peers in real time.

Depending on the group, participants may have opportunities to:

  • Connect with others through shared interests

  • Practice communication and collaboration

  • Develop self-awareness and self-advocacy

  • Explore regulation strategies

  • Practice flexible thinking and problem-solving

  • Build confidence participating with peers
